I am going to post some information that might be helpful for people who need to disseminate information to an audience of one to several individuals. When trying to communicate either oral or written here are a few pointers that people need to know when pulling information together to communicate. Studies have shown that individuals tend to learn differently either with the eyes, ears, voice or brain or a combination thereof. What is important is the information should be structured to show four key structures that being 1) Conceptual (What is the big picture?) 2) Practical (How does that apply to me?) 3) Technical (State the specifics of what you are trying to convey) and 4) Example (Show how this really looks for the audience). In this way you are able to reach approximately 98% of your audience. If we keep this in mind when we communicate it will help all of us no matter how we learn and receive information.
